  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or more, according to preference
  • 1 cup festive sprinkles optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract and eggs until well-blended.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and festive sprinkles.
  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, place rounded balls of dough on parchment-lined baking sheets.

Baking

  • Bake for about 9-11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  • Sprinkle powdered sugar on top for a winter wonderland vibe!

Notes

Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor and texture. You can also add crushed peppermint candy or nuts to the mix for variation.
