  • 2 pieces sausage patties (or your choice of protein) Turkey sausage, bacon, or plant-based alternatives work well.
  • 2 pieces eggs Cook to your desired doneness.
  • 2 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your favorite) Cheese can be customized.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or butter for the pan

  • In a pan over medium heat, cook the sausage patties until they are browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • While the sausage is cooking, pop your waffles in a toaster or prepare homemade waffles.
  • Once the sausages are done, crack the eggs into the same pan, season with salt and pepper, and fry to your desired doneness.
  • Assemble the sandwich by taking one waffle and layering a sausage patty, a slice of cheese, and the cooked egg on top, finishing with the second waffle.
  • Add optional toppings such as sliced avocado, hot sauce, or salsa if desired.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different types of waffles. You can make the sausage and eggs ahead of time for quicker preparation.
