Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely minced onion
  • 1 piece egg
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix until just combined.
  • Scoop out about 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Bake the meatballs for about 20 minutes until they are golden and cooked through.
  • In a saucepan, combine the beef broth, heavy cream, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Whisk in the cornstarch mixture and continue to cook until it thickens.
  • Once the meatballs are done baking, add them to the sauce, ensuring they are coated. Let them simmer for a couple of minutes.

Serving

  • Plate the meatballs over creamy mashed potatoes, rice, or any preferred base. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

You can substitute breadcrumbs with crushed crackers. Adjust meatball size and baking time based on preference. Freezer friendly; freeze uncooked meatballs on a baking sheet then transfer to a zip-top bag.
