  • 4 slices crispy bacon
  • 2 slices sturdy bread (sourdough or whole grain) Choose according to preference
  • 1 whole ripe tomato, sliced
  • 1 handful fresh lettuce (romaine or iceberg)

  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning

Instructions
 

Cooking the Bacon

  • Fry the bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat for about 6-8 minutes or until crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.

Preparing the Bread and Veggies

  • Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
  • Slice the tomato and rinse the lettuce under cold water.

Assembling the Sandwich

  • Spread mayonnaise on one slice of toasted bread.
  • Layer crispy bacon, followed by tomato slices and lettuce on the mayonnaise side.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Top with the second slice of bread, slice in half, and serve.

Notes

For variations, try adding avocado or cheese. Grilling the bread in bacon drippings enhances flavor.
