Ingredients

For the Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 pack skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, soy sauce, brown sugar, fish sauce, lime juice, garlic, and ginger.
  • Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Once marinated, thread the beef onto skewers, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
  • Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the beef skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until they are beautifully caramelized.

Serving

  • Serve these delicious skewers with coconut rice or a fresh salad.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the skewers to ensure even cooking. You can add bell peppers or onions for extra flavor. Leftovers taste great in salads or sandwiches.
