- 1 cup taco sauce Choose mild, medium, or hot based on your preference.
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough This makes the recipe quick and easy.

- 1 cup diced tomatoes Fresh tomatoes enhance the flavor.
- 1 cup shredded lettuce For added crunch.
- 1/2 cup sour cream Optional, but adds creaminess.
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned and cooked through. Optionally, add salt and pepper. Drain fat if using beef.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and cook according to the packet instructions.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- In a greased muffin pan, fit each triangle into the bottom of the cup, pressing down gently to form a little cup.
Filling and Baking
- Spoon the seasoned meat mixture into each dough cup, filling to the brim. Sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly, then top with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and sour cream.
Notes
Feel free to include leftover vegetables like zucchini, bell peppers, or corn. If you don't have crescent dough, biscuit dough can be used as an alternative. These cupcakes are perfect as appetizers for parties.
