  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk Can substitute with almond milk or oat milk for a dairy-free option.
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional Ingredient

  • 1 cup chopped pecans Toast for enhanced flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan generously.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, blend the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk to combine.

Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Blend It All Together

  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; a few lumps are okay.

Fold in the Pecans

  • Gently fold in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Bake

  • Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cooling and Serving

  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  • Slice, serve, and enjoy your Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread!

Notes

For a flavor boost, toast the pecans and consider adding a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg. Store any leftovers tightly in plastic wrap for up to 3 days or freeze individual slices for later.
