  • 4 cups fresh spinach Washed
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced Washed and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries Washed
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled Optional for vegan version
  • 1/2 cup pecans, toasted Toast in a dry skillet for added flavor
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze For dressing
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Preparation

  • Start by washing your spinach, strawberries, and blueberries. If the strawberries are particularly dirty, soak them in a mixture of water and vinegar for a few minutes.

Mixing

  • In a large salad bowl, combine the fresh spinach, sliced strawberries, and blueberries.

Adding Extras

  • Sprinkle in the toasted pecans and feta cheese.
  • Toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for a few minutes until fragrant.

Dressing

  • Drizzle your balsamic glaze over the top of the salad and toss gently to coat.

Seasoning

  • Finish off with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Toss again and serve.

Notes

This salad is best served fresh. If preparing ahead of time, keep the dressing separate until ready to serve. For a vegan option, skip the feta cheese or use a vegan alternative.
