Strawberries

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Fresh strawberries give the best flavor.

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, mash the sliced strawberries with a fork, leaving some chunks for texture.
  • If desired, add a tablespoon of sugar to the strawberries and let them sit for about 15 minutes.

Making Ice Cream Base

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
  • Using an electric mixer, whip until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.

Combine Ingredients

  • Gently fold the mashed strawberries into the whipped cream mixture.

Freezing

  • Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Cover tightly and freeze for at least 4-6 hours.

Serving

  • Scoop out the ice cream into bowls and feel free to add extra toppings like strawberry slices, sprinkles, or chocolate syrup.

Notes

Fresh strawberries will enhance the flavor. You can use frozen strawberries as an alternative. Customize with favorite mix-ins like nuts or crushed cookies. Store leftover ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer.
