Ingredients

Noodles

  • 8 oz wide rice noodles or your noodle of choice

Protein

  • 6 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

Vegetables

  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 stalk green onion, sliced for garnish
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Sauces and Oils

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Seasoning

  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • Red pepper flakes Optional for added kick

Instructions

Cooking the Noodles

  • Cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside, tossing with a splash of oil to prevent sticking.

Searing the Steak

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the flank steak, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned but not overcooked.

Cooking the Shrimp

  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque.

Stirring in the Vegetables

  • Add the sliced bell peppers and broccoli florets, along with the minced garlic. Stir-fry for 3 minutes until veggies are tender-crisp.

Combining Flavors

  • Toss in the cooked noodles, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir to combine, letting it mingle for another minute.

Serving

  • Plate the noodles and sprinkle with sliced green onions and red pepper flakes, if desired.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan when cooking. Substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu if needed. Feel free to experiment with sauces.
