Ingredients

Noodles and Pasta

  • 8 oz egg noodles Or your pasta of choice

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

Cooking Essentials

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced Any color you fancy
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Garnish

  • sesame seeds For garnish
  • chili flakes For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Boil Those Noodles: Start by cooking the egg noodles according to package instructions. You want them al dente, so they don’t turn into a mushy mess. Drain and set aside.
  • Sizzle the Steak: While your noodles are cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of optimism. Cook it for 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on how you like it. Once it’s beautifully browned, take it out and let it rest while you dance with the shrimp.
  • Shrimp Time!: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil and toss in the garlic and bell pepper. Sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant before adding the shrimp. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  • Bring It All Together: Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet along with the steak, green onions, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir everything together until heated through. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • Serve and Garnish: Scoop your noodle masterpiece onto plates, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chili flakes if you like a little kick, and voilà! Dinner is served!

Notes

You can swap shrimp for chicken or tofu if you want a vegetarian option. Feel free to add any leftover veggies you have like broccoli or snap peas. It heats up great for leftovers stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
