  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Olive slices (for eyes)
  • to taste Chili flakes (for decoration, optional)

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the pizza dough onto a clean surface and cut it into strips about ½ inch wide.
  • Twist each strip of dough into a snake-like shape.

Flavoring and Baking

  • In a small bowl, blend olive oil, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the twisted snakes.
  • Place the breadstick snakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle chili flakes on top towards the end of baking if you desire a spicy kick.

Finishing Touches

  • After removing the snakes from the oven, let them cool for a minute.
  • Use olive slices to create the 'eyes' by gently pushing them into the tops of the snakes.

Notes

Experiment with shapes and use different seasonings to enhance flavor. Serve with marinara or ranch dressing for dipping. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
