  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • ½ cup butter Butter makes everything better!
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Edible black olives or chives for decoration

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into quarters.
  • Place them in a large pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt.
  • Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Mashing

  • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  • Add the butter, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then mash until creamy and smooth.

Shaping and Baking

  • Transfer the mashed potato mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip.
  • On a greased baking sheet or serving platter, pipe the mashed potatoes in heaping mounds to form skull shapes.
  • Use the edible olives or chives to create eyes and facial features.
  • For a crispy top, bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes.
