  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adjust according to spice preference
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Divided for seasoning
  • 1 unit lemon For squeezing fresh juice
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Fresh parsley For garnish

Preparation

  • Rinse the salmon and shrimp under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a bowl, toss the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, half the Cajun seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  • Drizzle the salmon fillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle the remaining Cajun seasoning on top.

Cooking

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Flip the salmon gently, then add the seasoned shrimp to the pan. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until everything is cooked through.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top just before serving.
  • Plate the dish and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Keep an eye on seafood to avoid overcooking for optimal juiciness. Pair with sides like rice, quinoa, or salad.
