  • 1 pound mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, crab)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (Gruyère or cheddar)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter for sautéing
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour to thicken the sauce
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the mixed seafood along with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until cooked but not overdone.
  • Stir in the flour to coat the seafood, then slowly whisk in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Pour the seafood mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle the grated cheese over the top.
  • Mix the breadcrumbs with a little melted butter, and sprinkle over the cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Cheese-swap options include mozzarella or sharp cheddar. Seafood can be substituted based on preference. For larger servings, double the recipe.
