Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This is crucial because you want that crust to bake up nice and golden!
  • In a bowl, combine the freshly squeezed orange juice and zest.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until it’s well blended and slightly frothy.
  • Slowly incorporate the orange juice mixture into the egg mixture, followed by the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Add the pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.
  • Once combined, pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust.

Baking

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the center is set, and the edges should be just slightly puffed up.
