  • 1 pre-made pie crust 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)
  • 1 cup 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor
  • Zest of 2 Zest of 2 oranges For adding vibrant flavor
  • 2/3 cup 2/3 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to preference
  • 4 4 large eggs Room temperature for best mixing
  • 1 cup 1 cup heavy cream For a rich filling
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch A pinch of salt Helps balance sweetness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the freshly squeezed orange juice and zest.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well blended and slightly frothy.
  • Slowly incorporate the orange juice mixture into the egg mixture, followed by the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Add the pinch of salt.
  • Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust.

Baking

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the center is set and the edges are slightly puffed up.
  • Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Garnish with whipped cream or a sprinkle of orange zest on top. Store covered in the fridge for up to three days, although it may not last that long!
