Ingredients

Truffle Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted

Coating

  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Use a hand mixer to blend these ingredients together until smooth.
  • Gradually add in the sifted powdered sugar, about half a cup at a time. Keep mixing until your mixture is thick and creamy.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Forming Truffles

  • After chilling, scoop small amounts of the mixture and roll them into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Coating the Truffles

  • Melt the white chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring between each interval.
  • Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess to drip off before placing it back on the baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of orange zest on top of each truffle before they set.

Setting

  • Let the chocolate cool and harden completely in the fridge for about an hour.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with flavors by swapping orange for lemon or lime. For quicker results, freeze rolled truffles for about 15 minutes instead of chilling. Dark chocolate can be used instead of white if preferred. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
