Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, until cooked through.
  • While the meatballs are baking, unroll the crescent roll dough onto a floured surface. Slice into thin strips (about 1/2 inch wide).

Assembly

  • Wrap each cooked meatball with crescent dough strips to resemble mummies, leaving space for the eyes.
  • Bake the wrapped mummies on a baking sheet for an additional 10-15 minutes until dough is golden brown. Add mozzarella cheese for eyes a couple of minutes before they're done.
  • Serve the Mummy Meatballs with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Your meatballs don’t have to be perfect spheres! You can also add chopped bell peppers or onions to the meat mixture for extra flavor.
