  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce Adjust to your spice preference
  • to taste chopped green onions Optional for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather your ingredients to save time during cooking.

Combine the Sauce

  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, barbecue sauce, and hot sauce until well combined.

Cook the Little Smokies

  • Add the cocktail sausages to a large slow cooker or stovetop pot, then pour the sauce over them.
  • If using the stovetop, bring it to a simmer while stirring occasionally.
  • Pro Tip: For a faster option, bake them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes, tossing halfway through.

Time for Flavor

  • Let them cook for about 3 to 4 hours on low in the slow cooker or 15-20 minutes on the stovetop until heated through.

Serve and Enjoy!

  • Give them a light stir before serving and optionally sprinkle with chopped green onions.
  • Serve with toothpicks or enjoy them with your hands!

Notes

Sauce may look lumpy at first, but it will even out. Feel free to adjust sweetness by using less brown sugar. For extra heat, consider adding diced jalapeños.
