Ingredients

For the Brussels Sprouts

  • 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts Trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For tossing
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Optional Toppings

  • Parmesan cheese For sprinkling on top
  • Balsamic glaze For drizzling
  • Crispy bacon bits For extra crunch

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts, removing any leftover outer leaves.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread the Brussels sprouts out on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through.
  • For optional toppings, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top in the last few minutes of roasting or drizzle balsamic glaze after they come out of the oven.

Notes

Consider adding garlic or chili flakes for extra flavor. If your sprouts look a little charred, that’s just the caramelization enhancing the flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3 days.
