Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds King crab legs (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup Butter (unsalted) To control sodium levels
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced) Will add great flavor
  • 1 Lemon (cut into wedges) For freshness
  • Parsley (fresh, chopped for garnish) To enhance presentation
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • If using frozen crab legs, thaw them by running under cold water for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, being careful not to let it brown.
  • Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Season the garlic butter with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking

  • Place the crab legs in a large saucepan or pot, and pour the garlic butter over them.
  • Cover and steam the crab legs for about 5-7 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  • Once heated, serve the crab legs on a large platter with drizzled garlic butter and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

You can also grill or bake the crab legs for a smoky flavor. If fresh garlic is unavailable, garlic powder can be used, but fresh is preferred for flavor. Save some garlic butter for dipping.
