  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can substitute with nuts or dried fruits

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your loaf pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and stir in the sugar until well combined.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and serve, optionally drizzling with more hot fudge.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Pairs with ice cream for an elevated dessert experience.
