Dip Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Substitute with pepper jack cheese for extra kick.
  • 1 cup lump crabmeat, drained Fresh crabmeat is recommended.
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Use a hand mixer for about 1 minute until it’s smooth.
  • Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Add the lump crabmeat, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until it’s bubbly and golden on top.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite dippers like crispy crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Don’t skimp on the crab: Using fresh lump crabmeat elevates this dip. You can prepare the dip up to a day in advance and store it in the fridge. Garnish with paprika or fresh herbs for extra flavor.
