Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic or more, if you’re feeling adventurous!
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish optional—but highly recommended!

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by giving your shrimp a quick rinse and patting them dry with a paper towel. Season with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Making the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger.

Cooking the Shrimp

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they’re pink and just cooked through.
  • Pour the honey garlic mixture over the cooked shrimp, stirring to coat each piece. Let it simmer for 2 more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serving

  • Remove from heat, and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

A little extra garlic or ginger can elevate this dish beautifully. For a complete meal, consider adding veggies like snap peas or bell peppers. If you have leftovers, toss them in a salad for a quick lunch.
