Ingredients
  

For the Ribs

  • 2 lbs baby back ribs Use fresh ribs for best results.
  • Salt to taste Salt Season both sides of the ribs.
  • Pepper to taste Pepper Season both sides of the ribs.

For the Honey Garlic Glaze

  • 1 cup honey Choose a quality honey for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Regular or low sodium soy sauce can be used.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Add more if you love garlic!
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced Fresh ginger adds a nice spice.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar This helps balance the sweetness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Rinse your ribs under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Making the Glaze

  • In a medium saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer over medium heat until the mixture starts to thicken.

Baking the Ribs

  • Place your seasoned ribs on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. Pour half of the honey-garlic glaze over the ribs and cover with more foil. Bake in the oven.
  • After 2.5 hours, carefully remove the foil and brush the ribs with the remaining glaze. Bake for another 30 minutes to caramelize.

Finish and Serve

  • After a total of 3 hours, the ribs should be tender. Cut into the ribs and serve with the remaining glaze on the side.

Notes

For substitutions, ginger can be replaced with ginger powder. If short on time, ribs can be cooked in a slow cooker. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
