Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour Can be substituted with oat flour or coconut flour.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Use more if the mixture is too dry.
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted) Melt before adding to the mixture.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Can add more for topping.
  • 1/4 cup nut butter Feel free to experiment with different types of nut butters.
  • a pinch salt

Optional Toppings

  • nuts Add for extra crunch.
  • dried fruit Optional mix-in.
  • sprinkles Use for decoration.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, nut butter, and salt. Mix until you achieve a thick consistency.
  • Fold in dark chocolate chips into the mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and spread evenly. Top with more chocolate chips or favorite toppings.
  • Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until firm.
  • Once set, lift the bark from the dish and cut or break it into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. The bark is more flavorful the next day. Experiment with different nut butters or add-ins.
