Ingredients

Witch’s Fingers

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • almond slivers (for fingernails)
  • green food coloring (optional) Add for a spooky vibe.

Devilish Eyeballs

  • 1 can 15-ounce chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • pitted black olives (for eyeballs)
  • red bell pepper (for the “bloodshot” effect) Use for decoration.

Instructions

Preparation of Witch’s Fingers

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, egg, garlic powder, and salt until well mixed. If you're feeling adventurous, add a few drops of green food coloring for an extra eerie vibe.
  • Shape the mixture into finger-like forms, pressing an almond sliver onto one end of each finger to create a fingernail.
  • Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Preparation of Devilish Eyeballs

  • In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Process until smooth and creamy.
  • Using a tablespoon, scoop out some mixture and roll it into balls.
  • Place a pitted black olive in the center of each ball for the 'eyeball,' and use small pieces of red bell pepper to create the surrounding 'veins' for a more ghoulish look.

Servicing

  • Arrange both appetizers on a spooky platter and garnish with fake spider webs or mini pumpkins for dramatic flair.

Notes

You can prep the Witch’s Fingers the day before and store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Serve with red marinara sauce for dipping.
