Ingredients
  

For the Oysters

  • 12 pieces fresh oysters on the half shell The fresher, the better!
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Softened
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Because cheese makes everything better!
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste none Salt and pepper
  • as needed none Lemon wedges For serving

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and lemon juice. Add a dash of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  • Place the cleaned oysters on the grill grates, ensuring they are sitting upright.
  • Spoon a generous dollop of the garlic butter mixture on top of each oyster.

Cooking

  • Close the grill lid and cook for about 5-6 minutes until the oysters start to bubble and the cheese is golden brown.
  • Remove the oysters from the grill and squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over each one before serving.

Notes

For a dash of elegance, serve your oysters on a bed of rock salt or crushed ice. You can experiment by adding red pepper flakes or drizzling with truffle oil after grilling.
