  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt Make sure it’s the plain kind; you don’t want bagels that taste like dessert!
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

  • sesame seeds
  • everything bagel seasoning
  • favorite cheese for added pizzazz!

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir in the Greek yogurt until a dough forms.
  • Dust your countertop with flour and knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 8-10 inches long and pinch the ends together to form bagel shapes.

Cooking

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and gently add the bagels, a few at a time. Boil for about 1 minute on each side.
  • Transfer the bagels to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle your choice of toppings on the bagels.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let them cool on a wire rack before slicing, toasting, and adding your favorite toppings.

Notes

If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle a little more flour. For extra flavor, add herbs or spices like garlic powder or dried basil. Store in an airtight container for about 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
