  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works great for extra crunch)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, or a blend)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, pour the melted butter.
  • Dip each chicken breast in the melted butter, then coat it evenly with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture.

Cooking

  • Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked thoroughly and the coating is golden brown.

Serving

  • Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it up. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

If you don't have panko breadcrumbs, regular breadcrumbs will do fine. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
