Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 8 oz shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 8 oz noodles (linguine or spaghetti)
  • 1/4 cup butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional) for spice

Instructions

Cooking Noodles

  • Boil a pot of salted water and cook your noodles according to the package instructions. They should be just shy of al dente since they'll finish cooking later with the sauce. Drain and set aside.

Cooking Steak

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the steak with salt and pepper, and add it to the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for a nice medium-rare. Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak and let it rest.

Cooking Shrimp

  • In the same skillet, toss in the shrimp. Cook until they turn pink and opaque, around 2-3 minutes.

Building the Sauce

  • Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Mix in the remaining butter and stir until melted.

Combining Ingredients

  • Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, coating them with the garlic butter sauce. Slice the steak and place it on top alongside the shrimp. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired.

Serving

  • Plate it up, take a moment to admire your masterpiece, and dive in. You deserve it!

Notes

Slice the steak against the grain for the best texture. Substitute steak or shrimp with chicken or plant-based proteins as desired. Embrace the imperfections of the sauce!
