  • Start by heating the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Once the butter’s melted, add the shrimp, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, being cautious not to burn the garlic.
  • Squeeze in fresh lemon juice, add the remaining butter, and sprinkle with chopped parsley and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately, ideally with bread to soak up the butter sauce.

Notes

Using frozen shrimp is acceptable as long as they are thawed before cooking. For more lemon flavor, add lemon zest as well. This recipe is also family-friendly and can encourage kids to help with cooking.
