Ingredients
  

Seafood

  • 2 tails lobster tails (fresh or thawed)
  • 8 large sea scallops Ensure they are as dry as possible before cooking.

Garlic Butter

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 tablespoons melted for cooking, 2 tablespoons for basting.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing scallops.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor to the butter.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnishing.

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt and pepper Used for seasoning scallops and lobster.

Serving

  • 1 lemon wedges For serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Split the lobster tails down the middle using kitchen scissors and gently pull the meat up and over the shell.

Garlic Butter

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Searing Scallops

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Pat the scallops dry and season them with salt and pepper.
  • Place the scallops in the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until beautifully golden.

Basting the Lobster

  • Set the scallops aside and place the lobster tails in the same skillet, cut-side up. Drizzle garlic butter over the lobster meat and transfer the skillet to the oven.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes until the lobster is opaque and tender.

Assembly

  • On a plate, arrange the seared scallops beside the lobster tails. Drizzle remaining garlic butter, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Ensure scallops are as dry as possible for better browning. Squeezing fresh lemon juice over the finished dish enhances flavors.
