Ingredients

For the Seafood

  • 2 tails lobster tails Thawed if frozen
  • 1 pound sea scallops Rinsed and patted dry

For the Sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 lemon Juiced and zested
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
  • optional pinch red pepper flakes For a touch of heat

Garnish

  • to taste Fresh parsley Chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by thawing your lobster tails if frozen. Slice them down the middle to help them cook evenly. Rinse your scallops and pat them dry with a paper towel.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, toss in your minced garlic and sauté for about a minute.
  • Gently add the scallops to the pan, cooking them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they get a nice golden crust.
  • As the scallops are nearing the end of their cook time, place the lobster tails in the same skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Pour lemon juice and zest over the lobster and scallops.
  • Once cooked, sprinkle fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if using. Give it a final toss in the pan.

Notes

Don't overcrowd the skillet to ensure seafood sears well. Watch cooking times carefully as overcooked seafood can become tough. Feel free to experiment with alternative seafood like shrimp or firm white fish.
