Seafood

  • 2 pieces lobster tails (fresh or thawed) Fresh or thawed lobster tails
  • 1 pound fresh scallops Fresh scallops for best flavor

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Use unsalted for better control of seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Minced garlic adds great flavor
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed lemon juice for acidity
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Adjust seasoning to preference
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Use fresh parsley to enhance presentation

Preparation

  • Slice open the lobster tails and season both the lobster and scallops with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and stir it around for about a minute.
  • Add the scallops to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Once the scallops are nearly done, add the lobster tails and cook for about 5-6 minutes until they turn bright red.
  • Spoon the buttery mixture over the lobster tails occasionally while they cook.
  • Squeeze lemon juice over the top and garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Plate the dish and serve immediately.

Notes

Don't overcrowd the pan to achieve a nice sear on the seafood. Pair with garlic bread or a salad for a complete meal.
