Ingredients

Seafood Ingredients

  • 1 pound lobster tails Fresh or frozen, thawed
  • 1 pound scallops Fresh or frozen, thawed

Cooking Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic adds the best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
  • as needed Lemon wedges For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Using kitchen shears, cut the top of each lobster tail down to the end without cutting all the way through. Gently pull the meat up to create a 'lollipop' effect.
  • Pat your scallops dry with a paper towel and season them lightly with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the lobster tails meat side down to the skillet and let them cook for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Gently flip the lobster tails and add the scallops, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the lobster is opaque and the scallops have a lovely golden crust.

Serving

  • Sprinkle the dish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Allow the butter to melt gently and seafood to cook slowly for the best results. A drizzle of extra melted garlic butter over the top before serving can make this dish extra decadent. For a more budget-friendly option, substitute lobster tails with shrimp or use additional scallops.
