Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (your choice) Any shape can work, but smaller shapes catch the dressing better.
  • 1 can tuna (drained)
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt) Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your preference.
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (like parsley or basil) For garnish.

Instructions

Cooking

  • Start by boiling the pasta according to package directions. Once cooked, drain the pasta and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  • In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, diced bell peppers, halved cherry tomatoes, and chopped red onion. Toss everything together gently.
  • Once the pasta has cooled, add it to the tuna mixture.
  • Drizzle your preferred dressing (mayonnaise or Greek yogurt) over the salad, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Remember, taste as you go!
  • Finally, garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve chilled for the best taste.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding olives, corn, or avocado. This salad tastes even better the next day as the flavors meld together, so be sure to store any leftovers in the refrigerator for a quick lunch or dinner option.
