Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined fresh or thawed, whichever is easier
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter because, well, butter makes everything better
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced feel free to adjust this based on your garlic obsession
  • 1 cup heavy cream whispering sweet nothings to your taste buds
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese the cherry on top of this creamy goodness
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for a bit of smokiness
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once the butter is lovely and bubbly, toss in the shrimp. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, or until they’re pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic. Let those fragrant cloves sauté for about 30 seconds.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Add the paprika, salt, and pepper. Let this mixture simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
  • Return the sautéed shrimp to the skillet and stir until they are fully coated in this creamy goodness.
  • Once everything is combined and bubbling, serve it hot! Top it off with a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

Notes

If you’re looking to cut down on calories, feel free to use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. This dish is flexible; try adding spinach or asparagus for extra greens.
