Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (optional) For a touch of indulgence

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Trim the ends and slice the Brussels sprouts in half (or quarters if they're particularly large).
  • In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, honey, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure all sprouts are coated.
  • Spread the Brussels sprouts evenly on a baking sheet, making sure not to overcrowd.

Cooking

  • Roast the Brussels sprouts in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • If using, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top for the last five minutes of roasting.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy the sweet and savory caramelization of the Brussels sprouts.

Notes

Keep an eye on the Brussels towards the end of cooking to prevent burning, especially with honey. You can add red pepper flakes for a kick or nuts for extra crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
