Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or your pasta of choice
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • for garnish Chopped parsley like confetti for your pasta

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Toss in the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the shrimp and toss until well coated. Add the shrimp to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Pour in the heavy cream and stir until it’s all combined. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. If your sauce turns out a bit thick for your liking, add a splash of pasta water to loosen it up.
  • Toss the cooked pasta and sautéed shrimp into the sauce until everything is coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Plate your Creamy Cajun Shrimp Alfredo Pasta and sprinkle with parsley for a touch of color and flair.

Notes

You can substitute chicken or roasted vegetables for the shrimp. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
