Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 15 pieces Oreo cookies Crushed into fine crumbs.
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

For the cheesecake filling

  • 16 oz cream cheese Softened.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs At room temperature.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

For decoration

  • 1 cup whipped cream Store-bought or homemade.
  • Extra cookies and mini chocolate chips For topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter, then press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla and mix until well combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing gently between each addition. Then, fold in sour cream and mini chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the filling over the crust and gently tap the pan on the counter to release air bubbles.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes, until the edges are set but the center shakes slightly.
  • Let the cheesecake cool for about an hour, then chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Decoration and Serving

  • Spread whipped cream over the top and garnish with additional cookies and chocolate chips.
  • Slice and serve!

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. Consider a water bath for baking to avoid cracks. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
