Cooking the Protein

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook your bacon or sausage until crispy. Optionally, bake it in the oven with a sprinkle of brown sugar.

Cooking the Eggs

  • In the same pan, crack open your eggs, season with salt and pepper, and cook to your liking.

Toast the Bread

  • While the eggs are cooking, toast your bread. Consider topping your toast with a squeeze of lemon or a sprinkle of herbs.

Prepare the Hash Browns

  • Prepare frozen hash browns according to package directions in a separate pan or bake them until golden brown and crispy.

Slice the Avocado

  • Cut the avocado in half, pit it, and slice it into pieces.

Assemble the Platter

  • Start with a base of scrambled eggs, then layer with bacon or sausage, add crispy hash browns, fresh fruit, and avocado slices on toast.

Notes

Prep ahead by cutting fruits and slicing the avocado the night before. Mix and match ingredients as you like, swapping for alternatives such as turkey bacon or scrambled tofu. Consider adding cheese to your eggs for extra flavor.
