  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed Ensure it's packed for proper sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature eggs work best.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla is recommended.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until everything is beautifully blended.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, stirring until creamy and smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or use parchment paper and pour the batter into the dish, spreading it evenly.
  • In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping, then sprinkle it generously over the blondie batter.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the blondies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting them into squares.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix in some nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
