Ingredients

For the Churros

  • 1 can Del Pasado® Cinnamon Rolls
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon For the cinnamon sugar coating
  • 1 cup chocolate sauce For dipping
  • Oil For frying

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by unrolling the cinnamon rolls. Gently stretch them out to create long strips, typically about 6 strips per can.

Cooking

  • In a deep skillet or pot, heat enough oil over medium heat to submerge the churros.
  • Carefully place the stretched cinnamon roll strips into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl for coating.
  • Remove churros from oil, let drain on paper towels, then toss in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.

Serving

  • Serve churros warm with chocolate sauce for dipping.

Notes

Don’t skip the cinnamon-sugar coating! Experiment with different dipping sauces for added flavor. Leftover churros can be served with yogurt or as pancake toppings.
