Ingredients
  

For the Pavlova

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

For the Topping

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract because you can never have too much!
  • assorted fresh fruits like strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, and pomegranate seeds for that Christmas flair

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 225°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and draw a wreath shape (about 10 inches in diameter) as your guide.
  • In a clean bowl, whisk the egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  • Slowly add granulated sugar, about a tablespoon at a time, while whipping at high speed until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold in the vanilla, vinegar, and cornstarch.
  • Spoon the mixture onto the parchment paper, using your drawn shape as a guide, and create a nest in the center for your fruits.

Baking

  • Place the baking sheet in your preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Once done, turn off the oven and leave the door ajar to cool completely.

Topping

  • While your wreath cools, beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  • Once your wreath has cooled, gently spread the whipped cream over the top.
  • Top it with your beautiful assortment of fruits.

Serving

  • Garnish with a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds. Serve immediately or chill for a bit.

Notes

Timing is crucial to achieving that perfect meringue; don’t be tempted to rush it! Feel free to mix and match fruits for variety. Try adding a splash of liqueur to your whipped cream for an adult twist.
