Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed Thawed before use
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts, drained and chopped Use canned or frozen artichokes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or your favorite mix) Feel free to mix cheeses
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such as basil, parsley, or thyme), chopped Use your preferred herbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten For egg wash
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust seasoning as desired

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine artichokes, shredded cheese, and fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle or square.
  • Cut the pastry into 4-inch squares.

Assembly and Baking

  • Spoon some of the filling into the center of each pastry square.
  • Fold the corners over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed up and golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Prepare the filling in advance and store in the fridge. Feel free to swap ingredients based on preference.
