Ingredients
  

Pastry and Filling

  • 1 sheet sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or your favorite melty cheese)
  • 1 can artichoke hearts (drained and chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese for that extra creaminess
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (like dill or parsley, chopped) pick what you love!
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 egg for egg wash for a shiny finish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the sheet of puff pastry on a floured surface to prevent sticking.

Filling

  • In a bowl, combine the mozzarella, chopped artichokes, cream cheese, olive oil, herbs, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Assembly

  • Spread the filling mixture over half of the puff pastry, leaving a bit of border around the edges.
  • Fold the other half over and pinch to seal the edges.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the pastry.

Baking

  • Place your pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

If short on time, frozen artichokes can be used. Feel free to swap mozzarella for other cheeses. Don't worry if filling spills out; it adds to the charm!
