Ingredients

Burger Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20) Ideal for flavor
  • 4 slices cheese (American, cheddar, or any melty goodness)
  • 4 slices white bread
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Toppings

  • lettuce
  • tomato slices
  • pickles
  • ketchup
  • mustard

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients for easier cooking.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix gently and shape into four equal patties.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the patties in the pan, cooking them for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • When you flip the patties, add a slice of cheese on each and cover the pan for a minute to let the cheese melt.
  • While the patties are cooking, toast the slices of bread in a separate pan or in your toaster.

Assembly

  • Place a cheeseburger patty on a slice of toasted bread, add your desired toppings, and finish with another slice of bread on top.

Notes

Allow your beef to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking for even cooking. Don't worry about cheese texture; it adds to the charm. Feel free to experiment with toppings like avocado.
