  • 4 boneless pork chops Choose thick cuts for better juiciness.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing the pork chops.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional) For garnish.

Preparation

  • Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel to help them sear better. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Carefully add the pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them.
  • Flip the chops over and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Add a dash of additional garlic powder during the last minute of cooking for extra flavor.

Serving

  • Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

Cooking Tips: Watch your heat; lower it if the chops are browning too quickly. Leftovers can be used in salads, sandwiches, or stir-fry. Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed broccoli for a classic dinner.
